Warner Bros. Today is an exciting day for fans of Rocksteady’s Batman franchise of video games. Warner Bros. Interactive just announced a new title – Batman: Return to Arkham, and it’s set to release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this July.
While not a new game in and of itself, Batman: Return to Arkham contains detailed remasters of both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City all in one neat package. Upgraded both games to the new and improved Unreal Engine 4, along with enhancing textures and models, the games will look better, play better, and serve as a must-have item in any Batman fan’s collection.

Warner Bros has announced that the bundle will also ship with all previously released downloadable content, improved graphics, updated environments, character models, lighting, shaders, and effects. It will cost $50, and will be available on July 29th.
The bundle is being remastered by a third party studio called Virtuos. While it may be slightly disappointing that Rocksteady isn’t directly working on the port, that doesn’t mean Virtuosos won’t do a good job. They have a reputation for making great ports, such as Fable Anniversary (Xbox 360), Heavy Rain, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD. If Return to Arkham is anything like their previous work, we are in for a real treat.
